"Summertime" in 70x140 cm is a bright and playful painting that exudes summer and joy. The faint pink background gives the painting a soft and warm glow, and warm tones of yellow, orange, pink and burgundy unfold in a festive and vibrant play of colors that almost smells of sunshine and flowers.
My little female figure is playful and free — she holds on to a branch with pink flowers, as if she is about to swing out into the summer and let herself be carried by the light and happy energy of the moment. There is no seriousness in this painting. Only summer, flowers and the wonderful feeling of living fully in the present.
The female figure recurs in many of my paintings. She is not a specific person but a voice — someone who observes and is part of the universal pattern between man and nature. But in this painting she is most of all happy — and it is contagious.
I paint with acrylic paint from Golden on handmade canvases from Vindelev Blindrammefabrik and always finish with two layers of varnish that protects against sunlight and dust. The painting is stretched on a 2 cm deep blind frame and painted on the sides — it does not need framing but can be framed if desired.
The light pink background with warm and festive color tones gives the painting a feminine and summery atmosphere that fits perfectly in the bedroom, in a bright living room or in any room where you want a warm and positive energy. The elongated format works beautifully above a sideboard, in a hallway or as part of a picture wall. The size 70x140 cm gives the elongated expression that creates calm and direction in the interior.
