"The Wave" is a painting about flowing with the flow — about surrendering to the good energy of life and letting yourself be carried by that which is greater than yourself. Blue and green tones create a sense of sky and sea meeting in an organic and moving abstract universe.
But the universe is not just water and air. Earthy brown elements anchor the painting in nature, and sunshine breaks through as golden points of light that remind us that life always contains both — the depth and the light, the wave and the calm.
It is a painting with a meditative and calming energy — a painting you can keep looking at and find something new in. The waves move, the light changes, and the universe slowly unfolds.
I paint with acrylic paint from Golden on handmade canvases from Vindelev Blindrammefabrik and always finish with two layers of varnish that protects against sunlight and dust. The painting is stretched on a 2 cm deep blind frame and painted on the sides — it does not need framing but can be framed if desired.
The blue and green tones with earthy brown and golden accents make the painting very versatile in interior design — it suits Scandinavian and Nordic homes with natural materials, for coastal-inspired interiors and for any room where you want a calm and meditative atmosphere. The size 100x150 cm fits over most sofas and is one of my most popular sizes.
