"Sprouting" is one of my brightest and most playful paintings — filled with sunshine and a light, happy energy that is contagious. The warm cream-colored background gives the painting a warm and inviting glow, and lots of small flowers spread through the picture like a jumping sea of flowers.

Two female figures are featured in this painting — and for once they are not alone or pensive. They are relaxing and playful and happy together. It is a painting about the easy moments of life — about being present in the moment and being filled with the blooming energy of nature.

The female figures recur in many of my paintings. They are not concrete people but voices — someone who observes and is part of the universal pattern between man and nature. It is the core of my artistic universe.

I paint with acrylic paint from Golden on handmade canvases from Vindelev Blindrammefabrik and always finish with two layers of varnish that protects against sunlight and dust. The painting is stretched on an extra deep 4 cm blind frame — the motif continues on the sides, which gives a beautiful effect when you see the painting from the side.

The light and warm cream tones make the painting incredibly versatile in interior design — it brightens up any room and suits Scandinavian minimalism, bright Nordic homes and rooms where you want a positive and warm atmosphere. The size 110x180 cm makes it a natural and joyful main piece above the sofa or along a long light wall.
