"Life Flow" is a painting about letting go and flowing with the flow of life. The relaxed female figure lies looking up at the sky — not worried, not in thought. Just present in the moment, carried by the sky and sea that surround her in soft blue tones.
The sea and sky merge into an organic and moving abstract universe. Foam spray dances through the picture, and golden yellow and orange cell shapes glow as life force and energy in the middle of the blue. Earthy brown elements anchor the universe — a reminder that we are always connected to the earth, even when we dream away.
It is a painting about balance — between movement and stillness, between the earthly and the dreamy, between flowing with the flow and being grounded.
The female figure recurs in many of my paintings. She is not a specific person but a voice — someone who observes and is part of the universal pattern between man and nature. It is the core of my artistic universe.
I paint with acrylic paint from Golden on handmade canvases from Vindelev Blindrammefabrik and always finish with two layers of varnish that protects against sunlight and dust. The painting is stretched on a 2 cm deep blind frame and painted on the sides — it does not need framing but can be framed if desired.
The blue tones with golden and earthy brown accents make the painting versatile and warm at the same time — it suits Scandinavian and Nordic homes with natural materials and for coastal-inspired interiors. The elongated format works beautifully above a sideboard, in a hallway or above the bed in the bedroom. The size 70x140 cm gives the elongated expression that creates calm and direction in the interior.
