"Hang on" is one of my more purely abstract paintings — here, cell shapes and branching dominate, as nature's own patterns unfold in deep earth tones and petrol blue on a warm yellowish beige background. There is heaviness in this painting. A calm and a serious beauty.

The only figurative element is my two female figures — and they tell a strong and human story. One woman is at the top, holding on with both hands. The other is hanging and being pulled up. A moment of community, trust, and strength. Of not letting go of each other.

The female figures appear in many of my paintings. They are not concrete individuals but voices — observers and part of the universal pattern between human and nature. But in this painting, they are something more — they are each other.

I paint with Golden acrylic paints on handmade canvases from Vindelev Blindrammefabrik and always finish with two layers of varnish that protect against sunlight and dust. The painting is stretched on an extra-deep 4 cm stretcher frame — the motif continues onto the sides, which creates a beautiful effect when viewing the painting from the side.

The warm earth tones and the deep petrol blue give the painting a striking and characterful presence. It suits interiors with depth and character — Scandinavian and Nordic homes with dark wood elements, leather, and natural stone. The size 110x180 cm makes it a powerful and atmospheric centerpiece that fills the wall in the best way.

The painting is available in three variants: unframed, with an oak frame, or with a black frame.
