"Beyond the visible" is one of my large abstract paintings in deep blue and turquoise petroleum tones — a sense of sky and sea merging into an organic universe. Earthy brown elements anchor the painting to nature, while vibrant orange bubbles break through like sunshine and life force.
Two house sparrows move through the picture — light and free. And in the middle of it all sits my small female figure with her back to me, thoughtful and introverted. She is present but looking into herself — or out towards the invisible.
The female figure recurs in many of my paintings. She is not a specific person but a voice — an observer who connects humans and nature in the universal pattern that is the core of my artistic universe.
I paint with acrylic paint from Golden on hand-built canvases from Vindelev Blindrammefabrik and always finish with two coats of varnish. The painting is stretched on an extra deep 4 cm blind frame — the motif continues on the sides, which gives a beautiful effect when you view the painting from the side.
The blue and turquoise tones with earthy brown elements make the painting perfect in a Scandinavian interior with natural materials such as wood and stone. It works as a strong and atmospheric main piece above the sofa or along a long wall in the living room.
The painting is available in three versions: without a frame, with an oak frame or with a black frame.
