This month there is an interview with me in Børsens Penge & Privatökonomi about collecting art posters. Making art posters from original paintings is an old tradition that I love very much. Posters are affordable and democratic. With a poster, everyone can have a piece of art in their living room, and you will also find posters in most homes.
If you have been to an exhibition that made an impression, it is obvious to buy a small glimpse of the experience to take home as a poster. I have several times bought a poster myself when I have seen a fantastic exhibition in a museum. For example, I have bought art posters by Cathrine Raben Davidsen, Maria Rubinke and Mark Rothko.
Unfortunately, an art poster is rarely a good financial investment. If you want art that has the potential to increase in value, buy original paintings. So an art poster, you have to buy to enjoy it in everyday life.
If you want inspiration for what to think about when choosing framing for posters , read my blog post about it here.
