Inspiration for furnishing a home office
Home offices have become popular, and many have set up a workplace both at home and in the office. When the home office is to be furnished, more than a chair and a table must be thought of. When furnishing an office at home, the workplace must not only be practical, it must also be aesthetic and fit in with the interior of the home.
Office decoration with art at home
Art can be what makes the home office cozy and homely. Instead of looking into a white wall, it will be nice to decorate the office space with art. If the wall is directly in front of you with no distance, it would be a good idea to hang smaller paintings so that the art does not become too dominant.
If you have challenges with the sound, what you hang up must be bigger, as it is important for the effect that it fills a larger area of the wall. Sound-absorbing sheets will make a real big difference when you talk on the phone or hold video conferences. With this solution, you can advantageously choose art on sound-absorbing boards, which are not too dominant. The works I have made for sound-absorbing boards have a calm background.
If you have a lot of team meetings from home, it can also be nice to have a large painting on the back wall. If you are in doubt about how to best choose the placement of art, you can always contact me for advice.
Interior design office
When you are decorating the home office there is a list of things you need to think about. It is important to create a small oasis where it feels nice and you can immerse yourself.
- Try to avoid clutter. Make sure you have a system and that everything needed for work has a place.
- Make sure you have a pleasant view of, for example, a window or art on the wall.
- Think about the lighting. Natural light from outside is the best, but when it's dark outside, make sure you have good lighting where you work, so you have energy to work all day.
- Think about whether the office should be set up in the living room, or whether you need peace isolated in a room.
- It is important to have a good chair so that you do not get pain in your back, shoulders and neck.
- Pay attention to the height of the table. The best thing is a raised lowering table if you work at home a lot.
- Think about the sound, so you don't have to shout when you talk on the phone, or be disturbed by sounds around you.
Office in the living room
If you have your home office in the living room, avoid just sitting at the dining table on an ordinary chair. Make sure to arrange the home office so that it is both practical, ergonomic and cosy. You spend many hours sitting and working, so it is important to have a good interior design. If you don't live alone, also think about whether there is enough quiet in the living room to be able to concentrate on work without distractions.
